Before you choose. Left and right are as seen by the seated rider; mirrors are sold one per side, and on the XMAX the left and right often have different threads. “Left-hand” means the thread screws in anticlockwise. Every product page has the compatibility table and the OEM code of the original part to compare; Search by Motorcycle shows the same products by year.

Frequently asked questions

What thread do the mirrors of the Yamaha XMAX have?

It depends on the year (side as seen by the rider). Up to 2009: M8, standard thread on the left and left-hand thread on the right. From 2010 the left has a standard M10x1.25; the right of the XMAX 125, 250 and 400 2010-2017 has a left-hand M10x1.25. For the later years there are two right-hand mirrors: the 8220 with a standard M10x1.25 (XMAX 300 2017-2023 and XMAX 125, 250 and 400 from 2018) and the 7475 with a left-hand M10x1.25 (for example XMAX 300 2024-2026). Before ordering, check the thread or the OEM code of your original mirror.

Which mirrors fit the XMAX 300?

The left one is the FAR 7476 (2017-2026) or the 8221 (2017-2023), with an M10x1.25 thread. The right one is the 8220 for 2017-2023, with a standard M10x1.25 thread, and the 7475 for 2024-2026, with a left-hand M10x1.25 thread. All of them are homologated.

Can I fit bar-end mirrors on the XMAX?

Yes, with the FAR pair of bar-end adapter weights C0105917VN (OEM 1PAF62461000), for the XMAX 125 and 300 2018-2023 and the XMAX 250 2018-2022: it lets you fit bar-end mirrors at the ends of the handlebar, with no changes to the scooter.

Which windscreen should I choose for the XMAX?

It depends on the generation and on how tall you want it. For the XMAX 250 and 400 2014-2017 there are the GP Kompozit screen-printed touring screens in 59, 65 or 72 cm. From 2018 there are the touring ones in 65 or 70 cm (XMAX 400 up to 2021) and those with hand guards in 60 or 73 cm (up to 2023), all clear.

Is there a mount for a smartphone or sat-nav?

Yes, the GP Kompozit aluminium and steel bar on which you fit the phone or sat-nav: one for the XMAX 250 and 400 2014-2017, one for the XMAX 250 and 300 2018-2022 and the XMAX 400 2018-2021.

Are the FAR mirrors for the XMAX homologated and sold in pairs?

They are all road-homologated, as stated on each product page. They are sold one per side: the title says whether it is the left or the right, as seen by the seated rider. Only the bar-end adapters are sold as a pair.
