Direction Indicators
How to choose. Road use first: on public roads you need homologated indicators, with the green “ECE homologated” badge on the product page, such as the Stealth Microled CNC, the multifunction Cobra and Granata or the sequential LED mini indicators 7346; those with the yellow notice are for track, racing or display. Then the mounting: universal indicators fix with a threaded stud, and the size, when known, is stated on the product page. Finally the wiring: if the bike was built with bulb indicators, LEDs need the electronic relay 6224NEW or a pair of 6 W, 10 W or 21 W resistors. For the Moto Morini Granpasso 1200 and the Ducati Paso there are dedicated spare parts: “Search by Motorcycle” shows what fits yours.
Frequently asked questions
Are FAR turn signals homologated?
Many are. The product page shows the green “ECE homologated” badge when the indicator is approved for road use and the yellow notice when it is for track, racing or display. Among the sequential ones, for example, the sequential LED mini indicators 7346 are homologated, while the Speedway, Cigarro and sequential Arrow are not.
Do LED turn signals need a relay or resistors?
If the bike's wiring was designed for bulbs, yes: LEDs draw less current and the flashing becomes too fast. There are two fixes: the electronic relay 6224NEW, which replaces the original relay, or resistors wired to the indicators. FAR resistors are sold in pairs: for the bike's four indicators you need two pairs.
How do universal turn signals mount?
Usually with a threaded stud and nut, with the size stated on the product page: for example M10 on the Classic Bullet and on the LED pair 8226, an 8 mm stud on the Dynamic Slide, M5 with M8 adapters included on the Stealth Microled CNC. To connect them without cutting the original wires there are connector kits for Honda and Kawasaki and for Suzuki and Yamaha, male and female.
What is the difference between sequential and multifunction turn signals?
On sequential indicators the light sweeps across progressively instead of flashing all at once. Multifunction indicators combine several lights in one body: the Cobra and Granata work as turn signal, position light and brake light. Check the wiring on the product page before you order.
Are turn signals sold in pairs?
Almost all are, and the product page says so. The indicators for the Moto Morini Granpasso 1200 are sold individually, left and right, like the replacement lenses for the Ducati Paso.
How much is shipping and how do I return an item?
Shipping cost depends on the destination and the parcel and is shown at checkout before you pay (shipping policy); at checkout you can also choose pickup at FAR's premises in Zola Predosa (BO), Italy. If you buy as a consumer, you have 14 days from the day you receive the product to withdraw: how it works is explained in Returns and refunds and you can send the request from Request a return.
