What you will find here. Frequently asked questions

Where can I find FAR mirrors?

On the rearview mirrors page: there you will find mirrors made for your bike, with the OEM code of the original part where available, and universal handlebar, bar end and fairing mirrors. “Search by Motorcycle” shows only those that fit yours.

Are the number plate lights homologated?

The LED plate lights 8237 and 7400 and the rear light 7586 carry the “ECE homologated” badge; the Viper LED plate light 7211 is not homologated for road use. The status is always stated on the product page.

How do I connect aftermarket indicators without cutting the wires?

With FAR connector kits, which replicate the original plug: for Honda and Kawasaki and for Suzuki and Yamaha, male or female, 2 pieces per pack. If you fit LED indicators on a system built for bulbs, you also need the relay 6224NEW or resistors.

What are resistors for LED indicators for?

LED indicators draw less current than bulbs and, on a system built for bulbs, the flashing becomes too fast or irregular. FAR cement resistors rated 6 W, 10 W and 21 W correct the load; they are sold in pairs and four indicators need two pairs. Alternatively there is the electronic relay 6224NEW.

Will the grips fit my bike?

The chrome and black grips are universal: 120 mm long, with a 25.66 mm inner diameter, and three interchangeable sleeves (Slik, Race and Rain). Before ordering, check the diameter of your handlebar and of the throttle grip.

How much is shipping and how do I return an item?

Shipping cost depends on the destination and the parcel and is shown at checkout before you pay (shipping policy); at checkout you can also choose pickup at FAR's premises in Zola Predosa (BO), Italy. If you buy as a consumer, you have 14 days from the day you receive the product to withdraw: how it works is explained in Returns and refunds and you can send the request from Request a return.
