Road-legal and track, universal and model-specific: the whole range since 1969

FAR rearview mirrors for motorcycles and scooters: mirrors made for your bike, with the OEM code of the original part where available, and universal handlebar, bar end and fairing mirrors. Every product page tells you whether the mirror is homologated, what thread it has and which side it fits. FAR has been designing mirrors and accessories for motorcycles and scooters since 1969.

Quick guide

How to find the right mirror

  1. 1

Pick your bike with the “Search by Motorcycle” bar: you only see compatible mirrors.

  2. 2

Universal or model-specific? Universal bar end, handlebar and fairing mirrors fit many bikes; dedicated ones are made for one model.

  3. 3

Road-legal or track: each product page says so. SX, DX or SX/DX in the title is the mounting side.

How to choose. For a specific model, start from “Search by Motorcycle” at the top of the page: choose make, model and year to see only the compatible mirrors. You can also start from the make: the pages with the most mirrors are Yamaha, Ducati, Piaggio, Honda, Vespa, Suzuki and BMW. To change the look there are universal mirrors: handlebar mirrors, which screw in place of the original; bar end mirrors, at the ends of the handlebar; fairing mirrors, for faired bikes. Left (SX) and right (DX) are always as seen by the rider in the saddle.

Road-legal or track. Most mirrors on this page carry the green “ECE homologated” badge; those with the yellow notice are for track, racing or display, like all Dark Saber mirrors. Check the badge on the product page before you order.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find the right mirror for my bike?

Use “Search by Motorcycle” at the top of every page: choose make, model and year to see only the compatible mirrors. Each product page also has the compatibility table and, where available, the OEM code of the original part, to compare with the one fitted to your bike.

What do SX and DX mean?

In the title they show the mounting side as seen by the rider in the saddle: SX is left, DX is right; “SX/DX” means the same mirror fits both sides. Thread direction is a different matter: when the thread is left-hand, the product page writes LH right after the size, for example “M10x1.25 LH”. A right-side mirror can also have a left-hand thread.

What thread do motorcycle mirrors have?

It depends on the bike. On the mirrors on this page the threads are mainly M10x1.25 and M8, standard or left-hand, and M6, found for example on fairing mirrors and on several bar end mirrors; M10x1.5 is rarer. Size and direction are stated on every product page. Many universal handlebar mirrors come with adapters for several threads, and among the adapters and spare parts there are adapters to change thread size or direction.

Are FAR mirrors homologated?

It depends on the model: the product page shows the green “ECE homologated” badge if the mirror is approved for road use, or the yellow notice if it is for track, racing or display. Two-wheelers built to exceed 50 km/h must have two mirrors, one on each side; up to 50 km/h one is enough, on the left (where traffic drives on the right). What the law says and how to recognise the approval mark: guide to road-legal motorcycle mirrors.

Are they sold individually or in pairs?

Usually individually: the title states the side and the product page shows “Sold individually”. When the mirror for the other side exists, the product page offers “Complete the pair of mirrors”.

How much is shipping and how do I return an item?

Shipping cost depends on the destination and the parcel and is shown at checkout before you pay (shipping policy); at checkout you can also choose pickup at FAR's premises in Zola Predosa (BO), Italy. If you buy as a consumer, you have 14 days from the day you receive the product to withdraw: how it works is explained in Returns and refunds and you can send the request from Request a return.
